Eleven-year radio veteran and Charlotte native DJ Rham has been elevated to APD of Radio One/Charlotte gospel WPZS (Praise 100.9) & urban AC WQNC (Q92.7). He will maintain his duties as production director for the cluster.
DJ Rham will report to Praise 100.9 PD Elroy Smith and Q92.7 PD Terri Thomas, who are based out of Philadelphia and Houston, respectively. "I am thrilled to promote DJ Rham to the position of APD," states Radio One/Charlotte VP/GM Debbie Kwei-Cook. "His enthusiasm, energy, passion and creativity are second to none. It gives me great pleasure to reward someone so talented. DJ Rham is very thorough and will do a great job of executing the programming strategy of Elroy Smith and Terri Thomas.”
Smith describes DJ Rham as "one of the most skilled, polished, knowledgeable and buttoned-up radio executives that I have met in recent years. This promotion is well deserved.”
“It is a blessing to be able to give deserving people growth opportunities in an ever shrinking industry," Thomas adds. "DJ Rham’s dedication, tireless work ethic, hunger for knowledge and desire to win are an incredible asset to our stations. His promotion to assistant program director is well deserved and I’m honored to have him on my team.”
DJ Rham has assumed his newly assigned programming duties and added a new role in his personal life last week when his daughter Baylea Kennedy Blackmon was born.
