Rejoice Musical Soulfood has moved its headquarters, most of the announcers, and the administration and sales staff from Dallas to Virginia Beach, Va. Another significant change comes with the departure of VP of radio programming Willie Mae McIver. She will remain in Dallas and channel her energies into her consultancy company, Covenant Media, which was she officially launched in 1998.
Covenant specializes in helping advertising agencies develop radio promotions for companies who are trying to target the African-American audiences. The company also consults gospel radio stations.
Next month, McIver will launch her syndicated two-hour weekend show, "Beyond the Praise." The program will feature in-depth artist interviews with gospel artists and ministers, a living-right segment with advice for teens based on bible principles and a flashback segment with historical facts on gospel artists. Another highlight is the audio soap opera "The Bold & the Sanctified."
In addition to all of her other projects, McIver will be working with a public relations/production company to help develop programming for faith-based lifestyle television shows.
