Joe Battaglia, president of Renaissance Communications, and John Frost, a partner in Goodratings Strategic Services, have formed a new, jointly owned company, appropriately called Battaglia-Frost Creative Productions Inc.
The guys say the new entity exists to introduce a new wave of great communicators to Christian radio and create compelling programming elements and shows that are a level above what individual stations could do on their own.
The launch of their company comes on the heels of the announcement by the Don Moen Company that it has engaged Battaglia-Frost as executive producers of a new, three-hour weekly worship music program, "Don Moen & Friends," which will launch in the second quarter of 2009.
On the reason for starting a new company, Battaglia states, "I have been concerned for some time now about how few great communicators are intentionally seeking out a presence on Christian radio. John and I believe we can provide the right context and information to interest these individuals in that platform and thereby reach the greatest radio audience in the world! But we have to do that by stripping away misinformation and educating them about the new Christian radio listener and our great stations, many of which are now market share leaders. So we want to reach out and address these concerns via our new company."
"Joe and I intend to find the greatest communicators of faith today to create relevant and compelling programming that will help prepare Christian radio to meet the challenges of the future," says Frost. "The consumer's media choices will always be dictated by compelling content. Since we have the greatest story to tell, we have to learn to tell it in the most compelling ways that will draw people to a message of hope."
Both Battaglia and Frost will continue with their respective companies -- Battaglia with Renaissance and Frost with Alan Mason of Goodratings.
