Chilliwack Gets Second Station
'The Hawk' flies in

The bucolic hamlet of Chilliwack, BC has only had one radio station since 1927, but that all changed on Friday, Feb. 20, when Fabmar Communications launched rocker CHWK (89.5 The Hawk) under the watchful eye of station manager/GSM Kevin Gemmell and PD/MD/morning guy Glen Slingerland.
Gemmell says, "89.5 The Hawk will be community focused and local in all aspects." This means local news, community features and local info in addition to live play-by-play coverage of the Chilliwack Bruins WHL hockey games with sports director Randy Merkley.
