Christian CHR KJTH (the House FM) and soft AC/inspirational KLVV (Praise 88.7)/ Ponca City, Okla., have launched a customized iPhone application available free to listeners.

The application allows listeners to tap into the stations' online streams so they can listen to the stations anywhere there is a cell phone or Wi-Fi signal available. It automatically adjusts the streams quality based on the bandwidth available.

Not only are The House FM and Praise 88.7 believed to be the very first Christian radio stations in the nation to offer this kind of customized listening application to iPhone and iPod Touch users, they are also leading the way as some of the first radio stations of any format in Oklahoma using this new technology. In most iPhone streaming radio applications, users scroll through long lists of stations to find the one they want to listen to. This customized application will plant the stations on the iPhone desktop giving users a direct link to The House FM and Praise 88.7.

"We felt like this was a great investment of our resources to be able to bring this convenience right to the main screen of the iPhone for our listeners," says program director Tony Weir. "With the incredible number of people using iPhones, we also see it as a great way to reach new people all over the world with the message of hope in our music."
