Matt Knight, APD/MD/afternoon dude at Press Communications top 40 WHTG (Hit 106)/Monmouth-Ocean, undergoes a delicate medical procedure to have the "A" removed from his title. Yup, that's right -- he's now full-on PD, with all the parking privileges and cubicle upgrade the upgrade entails. Feel free to congratulate him profusely at mattk@hit106.com.

WHTG has been without a PD since Terrie Carr left back in January, following the construction of Hit 106 on the site of the former alternative station.

Downtown Records senior VP/head of promotion Mike Bergin has bolstered his team with the addition of two new promo pros: Seattle-based Michael Pivar, best known for his many years in the market with RCA, joins Downtown as West Coast regional promo rep, and Damien Sabatello, another RCA vet, is hired as Downtown's new Mid-Atlantic/Southeast promo rep, based in Charlotte.
