UB Rodriguez Officially Promoted To Afternoons On WGCI

After hosting afternoon drive on Clear Channel urban WGCI/Chicago on an interim basis, part-time personality UB Rodriguez has been elevated to permanent host of the shift. He replaces Tony Sculfield, who moved to morning drive on April 1 to host "The Morning Riot."
Rodriguez began working on-air at WGCI in April 2008, and PD Kris Kelley states, "I am thrilled to officially name UB Rodriguez as WGCI's afternoon on-air personality. He has done a tremendous job. UB brings a wealth of experience and talent to the WGCI family and is a perfect addition to WGCI's on-air lineup."
Rodriguez's show airs from 2-6 p.m., and five-year WGCI vet DJ Timbuck2 joins him during the mix show segment from 5-6 p.m. Previous stops for Rodriguez include three Cox-owned stations: mornings on rhythmic KPWT (Power 106.7)/San Antonio, weekends on urban WEDR (99 Jamz)/Miami and weekends on urban AC WHQT (Hot 105)/Miami.
