In a stunning move, Rob Farina has left CHUM Radio after more than a decade with the company. Farina, who was VP of programming for the Canadian radio group, will cross the street and join Astral Media in late August, replacing Pat Holiday as executive VP of content -- which includes the company's radio stations; Orbyt, Astral's national content and marketing division; and new platforms. Holiday is retiring from Astral at the end of August.

In other Astral/Toronto news, Martin Tremblay will be taking his hands off the programming wheel at AC CJEZ (97.3 EZ Rock), since he's overseeing all three stations in the cluster and directly programming hot AC CKFM (Virgin Radio 999). EZ Rock is now on the hunt for a new PD.
