There's a new voice in afternoon drive on WPZS (Praise 100.9)/Charlotte: Melanie Clark has filled the void created by Alvin Stowe's departure earlier this year. The CEO/founder of Gospelflava.com has also been named music coordinator of the Radio One Gospel outlet.
"I am thrilled to have Melanie Clark host afternoons on Praise 100.9," says Radio One/Charlotte VP/GM Debbie Kwei-Cook. "She brings a wealth of knowledge about the gospel music industry to our airwaves. She’s involved in the community and wants to make a difference. Her beautiful spirit and pleasant personality draw listeners to her show and I’m proud to have her on the Radio One team.”
Praise 100.9 PD Elroy Smith recalls, “The day I met and heard Melanie Clark, I knew she was the perfect fit to WPZS (Praise 100.9). She exudes class and a great understanding of the Praise format and the city of Charlotte. Afternoon drive with Melanie was destined by God and I am just being obedient by giving her this opportunity.”
Clark has spent three years working various on-air shifts at Praise 100.9. Outside of radio she is an ordained Elder in the Life Center Fellowship and the mother to a daughter named Tyler.
