Congrats and big hugs to our pal Nikki Nite, who's installed as the new APD/MD/afternoon goddess at Entercom hot AC KAMX (Mix 94.7)/Austin. Nite most recently spent three years at CBS/Dallas, where she programmed KVIL before crossing the hall to the former KMVK (MOViN 107.5). It's actually a reunion for Nite and Mix PD Cat Thomas: They used to work together at WZYP/Huntsville, Ala., where Cat was PD and Nikki was APD. Send Nite congratulations at nnite@entercom.com.

"We are ecstatic to get someone with Nikki's experience, expertise, personality and drive," said Thomas. "She is a much sought-after talent, and it took several people to make this happen. Entercom president of programming Pat Paxton, regional programming VP Bill Pasha, regional VP Deborah Kane, market manager Nancy Vaeth-Dubroff and my friend Vance Cobb all helped tremendously."

"I'm very happy to be coming home to Entercom," said Nite, who did a run programming top 40 sister WFBC (B93.7)/Greenville, S.C." I'm excited to work with Cat and help take Mix 94.7 to even greater success."

Nite fills the gap created when afternoon duo Carey Edwards & Bridget Taylor exited; Edwards was also APD/MD.
