Nationally heard morning man Big Boy and WQHT (Hot 97)/New York were two of 100 hundred guests invited to the White House on Tuesday (May 12) for the very first "Poetry Slam." The event was held in the East Room and featured James Earl Jones, slam poet Mayda Del Valle, Pulitzer-prize winning author Michael Chabon, Ayelet Waldman, Esperanza Spalding, pianist Eric Lewis, Lin Manuel Miranda, Jamaica Heolimeleikalani Osorio and Joshua Brandon Bennett as the performers.
