Clear Channel urban AC KISQ (98.1 Kiss FM)/San Francisco morning show host Renel Brooks-Moon will sign off on Friday (May 8). She's spent about 25 years working on-air in the market and has been with Kiss since it launched 12 years ago.

Brooks-Moon has decided to leave radio and stated on her blog, "There are not enough words to express my gratitude to all of you -- families, students, community organizers, activists, civic leaders educators -- for your dedication and loyalty. I've been blessed to have worked on Bay Area airwaves since 1985."

Clear Channel/San Francisco OM Michael Erickson said, "As much as we are all sorry to see her leave Kiss, we support Renel in her decision and appreciate all of her tremendous contributions to this radio station and all of the wonderful work she has done for our community. She will be truly missed."

Afternoon drive personality Morris Knight will fill the opening in mornings and will be joined by producer/sidekick Jessica Fiore for "The Morning Groove." Erickson is currently looking for Knight's replacement in afternoons.

Brooks-Moon's last broadcast will air from 7-9 a.m. on May 8, and she will continue to work for the San Francisco Giants as the public-address announcer.
