Street Talk Daily first told you a couple of days ago that this was happening, now the press release makes it official: Mark Adams has become PD of one of CBS Radio's new toys, hot AC KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston. Adams is already in the house programming top 40 KKHH (Hot 95-7) and annexes Mix, which CBS acquired from Clear Channel on April 1. Mix's former PD Keith Scott will remain with the station and has joined Michele Fisher in mornings.
"Mark has done an excellent job programming Hot 95-7, and I'm excited to see the growth of our Mix brand under his smart leadership," commented CBS/Houston senior VP/market manager Brian Purdy.
"Mix is a legendary station -- consistently among the top-ranked stations in the market -- and I'm honored to have the chance to lead this great team," said Adams. "I know we're going to have a lot of fun."
