"Talking Heads of Programming" head up the agenda

LOS ANGELES, May 30, 2006 -- R&R is pleased to announce that Whoopi Goldberg will be at R&R Convention 2006 in a special session.

"Inside the Radio Studio with Whoopi Goldberg" will be a one-on-one interview between the famous actress, comedian and producer and Clear Channel VP/AC Programming and WLTW/New York PD Jim Ryan. Goldberg's new radio show, Wake Up With Whoopi launches on July 31 and is syndicated through Premiere Radio Networks. The panel will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 3:30-5pm.

The R&R Convention will kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 20 with a general session titled, "The Talking Heads of Programming: Not the Same As It Ever Was." Panelists include CBS Radio President/Programming Rob Barnett, Entercom Sr. VP/Programming Pat Paxton, Emmis VP/Programming Jimmy Steal and Journal EVP/Television & Radio Operations Carl Gardner. The session will be on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 9-10am.
