"Consumer
Generated Media" Panel Discussion
Our clients have known for some time that
we’ve been big supporters of CGM.
Today, it’s a reality, as many local
radio stations have turned their marketing
over to their listeners with outstanding
success. And CGM is incredibly inexpensive.
Dave Beasing moderates a panel featuring
CGM successes including Jennifer
Williams, Marketing Director, WCSX; Bill
Weston, Program Director, WMMR and Ryan
Patrick, Program Director, KAZR. |

Gordon
Borrell -
CEO and President,
Borrell & Associates
“The
Future of Generating Revenue Online”
Gordon Borrell is a leading researcher
and consultant on generating local revenue
online. The company works with dozens
of media companies and will share how
newspapers and television stations are
generating revenue on their web sites. |
| 4:00-5:00PM |
Jason Calacanis
- CEO,
Weblogs, Inc.
“The
Future Of Media”
Jason
is a “new media” visionary
who accurately detailed the challenges
radio would face back at our Summit in
1999. CEOs in that Summit would have heard
some chilling predictions, many of which
have come true over the past five years.
Jason is one of those guys who “skates
to where the puck is going to be.”
Since that time, Calacanis created Weblogs,
Inc. (which he just sold to AOL/Time Warner
for an estimated $25 million). This year.
Jason will share his vision of radio’s
future and ways it can integrate new media
into its operations

Jeff Angus
- The
author of "Management By Baseball"
“The
Future of Management”
Jeff uses the metaphor of baseball (and
we’re anticipating some hot September
pennant races) to outline the challenges
facing anyone in management, and identifies
the four “bases” any successful
manager needs to “touch” in
order to be successful. This is a session
that is valuable for anyone who works
in our business in a management capacity.
|
| 11:30AM-12:30PM |
Ben McConnell
- The
author of "Evangelism Marketing"
Consumer
Generated Media: “The Future of
Marketing”
In part two of our CGM focus, we'll have
writer and consultant Ben McConnell ("Creating
Customer Evangelists") provide us
with a preview of his new book ("Citizen
Marketers," to be released in early
2007) which details the CGM efforts in
the advertising world. We expect that
this session will generate considerable
interest among our attendees, while generating
ideas that can be successfully applied
to their station. |
