R&R
Convention
Attracting the top broadcast and
recording-industry executives from
around the country, the R&R
Convention is recognized as the
premier annual conference for the
radio and record industries. In
2008 the R&R Convention will
be co-located with the NAB Radio
Show at the Hilton Austin Hotel
and the Austin Convention Center.
In the past, the R&R Convention
has featured many luminaries as
keynote speakers, including President
Bill Clinton; General Norman Schwarzkopf;
"America's Mayor" Rudy
Giuliani; and recording-industry
legend Clive Davis, as well as such
superstar entertainers as the Eagles,
Stevie Wonder, John Mellencamp,
Christina Aguilera, the Allman Brothers
Band, Moby, Stevie Nicks, Shelby
Lynne, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler
and Tom Hamilton, David Foster,
the Guess Who, Bowling For Soup,
Duran Duran's Simon LeBon and John
Taylor, Alicia Keys and many more.
Such nationally known TV and radio
personalities as Whoopi Goldberg,
Randy Jackson, Casey Kasem, Dick Clark,
Leeza Gibbons, Nancy O'Dell, Pat O'Brien
and many others have also appeared
at the R&R Conventions.
The convention attracts radio and
recording-industry executives representing
the most popular music formats in
America, including CHR/Top 40, Rhythmic,
Alternative, Rock, Urban, Adult Contemporary,
Country, Smooth Jazz and Spanish language
formats.
The R&R Convention comprises
keynote presentations, panel sessions,
format-specific breakout sessions,
artist showcases, the R&R Industry
Achievement Awards presentation and
other special events. The atmosphere
is relaxed, but the focus is on networking,
learning and entertainment. Sponsorships
are limited to maximize both awareness
and contact opportunities.
In all, the R&R Convention represents
a unique, exciting and high-level
brand-marketing environment to reach
the entire radio and recording industries
for the most important week in radio. |
